Beauty wishlist: Skincare

I’ve always been a bit up and down with my skin, some days it’s so clear and it makes me feel so great, and then two days later I’ll have a major break-out and I’ll feel gross. There doesn’t seem to be an in between.

One of my main New Years’ resolutions for 2018 was to put more effort into my skincare routine to see if I couldn’t help myself have more good days than bad. Two months in I’d say it’s going okay, but I do have a few products I’m lusting after just a tad. Here are the top three:

Glossier Super Glow – £24

This vitamin C face serum is top of my to-buy list. I’ve heard amazing things about Glossier products, and have been looking for something that will even my skin tone for ageeeessss. This serum also promises to energise your skin if you’ve had a few sleepless nights, and as I’m trying to get up earlier and go to the gym but my skin is crying out for more sleep, anything that will plump up my tired face is a winner with me!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Oil – £75 for 50ml

I’ve been trying to find a decent oil for a while now, and this has great reviews so is on the list, but I’m keen to find something a little less pricey if possible, so recommendations in the comments are welcome! I’m only 25, so wouldn’t necessarily use oils for anti-ageing purposes, but I am keen to use products which will make my skin appear smoother, as well as giving me a bit of a healthy glow.

Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque – £24

I love a good mask, or masque in this instance. One of the main issues I have with my skin is how blinkin’ massive my pores are, especially on my nose, so anything that could minimise them immediately goes on the beauty buys list. This masque promises to visibly minimise pores, brighten skin, and clear blackheads – a win, win, win!

Pixi Glow Peel Pads – £24

I got a Pixi shea butter lip balm in my February Birchbox and LOVE it, so I’m keen to try other stuff by them, and I’m a total sucker for anything that is going to make my skincare routine easier. These glow pads might be just the thing. Again this product is all about minimising the appearance of pores and brightening skin, and to top it all off the pads are enriched with vitamin E to soften your skin as well!
